CALL TRACKING Unique telephone numbers are used exclusively to ensure the calls used for testing are obtained only from the directory ad. This type of testing can provide valuable information regarding creative ad development, ad size, positioning, and the most effective headings.

METERED TESTING (Keyed Ad) This method allows the reporting of actual call volume generated each month based on the unique ad.

  • Call forwarding to client terminating number
  • Extensive data collection including time and date of call origination, originating number (where available), billing name, address and Residence/Business classification for the originating telephone number, time and date the call was answered and ended, and call status report (busy, number of ring cycles to answer, etc.)
  • Weekly e-mailed reporting (individual summary reports containing call distribution by time of day, day of week, etc.) as well as instant online call data.

SPLIT RUN TESTING This provides the ability to measure inbound call volume for two unique and competing ads for the same company. Half of the directories in the directory area are distributed with ad version A and half are distributed with ad version B. Based on the actual call volumes generated by each ad version and the advertising investment required, the return of investment can be calculated.
